The Alpha Authentic MA-1 is an accurate reproduction of the original MA-1s from the late 1950s. And thanks to the garment washed treatment & distressing applied to the outer shell, the jacket does indeed look like a 50 year old jacket! Originally descended from a "modified" B-15 (the primary modification was the elimination of the B-15's fur collar, which was considered a hinderance in modern jet cockpits), the MA-1 has a long & glorious history. Although the original MA-1 design went through various modifications over the years, it retained its recognizable characteristics and served the USAF for three decades.
Features include an "aged" 100% nylon shell, two snap closure front slash pockets (flapped front pockets were introduced much later), two vertical interior snap closure pockets, zippered utility-pen pocket on the left sleeve, snap-down headset tabs on either side of the jacket & an oxygen mask retention webbing on the left front chest (the tabs & webbing were eliminated from the MA-1 during the 1960s), 100% nonreversible nylon lining (the reversible "indian orange" lining wasn't introduced until the 1960s),
100% wool interlining for added warmth, inside wind flap, heavy duty zipper, and knit cuffs, collar & waistband.
Without a doubt, this is the finest and most authentic MA-1 we've seen and serves as a fitting tribute to one of the most successful flight jacket designs in US Military history. Color: vintage gunmetal gray.

This is the classic USAF nylon flight jacket... the MA-1! This popular jacket protected our pilots for decades, in the air and on the ground! Insulated for warmth, with 4 snap-close pockets (2 outside, 2 inside), knit cuffs, collar and waistband, and zippered combination utility/pen pocket on left sleeve. For emergency situations, this jacket is completely reversible to Safety Orange. Our MA-1 is genuine government-issue! Please specify color. Made by Alpha. Imported.

Alpha MA-1 D-Tec Jacket

The Alpha MA-1 D-Tec is an update of the classic USAF MA-1 flight jacket. Features include a washed flite satin nylon shell, a detachable zip on/off hoodie (with its own full zipper closure), two front slash pockets, one utility/pen pocket on the left sleeve, one inside pocket, heavy duty front zipper, red nylon lining with polyfil insulation for added warmth, and knit cuffs, collar & waistband. Wear the D-Tec without the hoodie for that classic MA-1 look, or add the zip-on hoodie for a faux layered look. Color: silver.

Kid's MA-1 with Patches

Just like genuine USAF MA-1 flight jacket... but in kid sizes! Its flite satin nylon outer shell is covered with patches! This jacket has all the features of the adult MA-1, including: knit cuffs, waistband and collar, two front cargo pockets, brass zipper with airplane pull, and zippered utility pocket on the left sleeve. Has polyfill insulation for warmth and reverses to safety orange.
