Back by popular demand! We haven't produced a striated lambskin jacket since 1985 and thought it was high time we rectified this. "Striated" lambskin starts with the finest French lambskin available: it's extremely soft, supple and substantial too (not like the paper-thin lambskin you might find in a "fashion" leather jacket). The lambskin is then hand-stretched to achieve its unique striated appearance. This results in a wonderfully "grainy" and rugged-looking jacket, each with its own distinctive characteristics (so no two jackets will look exactly alike).
Features include two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, snap-down collar, epaulets, two leather-trimmed interior pockets, nylon lining, heavy-duty brass zipper, and knit cuffs & waistband.
This limited edition jacket combines the classic features of the venerable A-2 with the uniquely rugged look of striated leather. We will only produce a small quantity of these outstanding A-2s so get yours while you can!

Our horsehide A-2 2000 jacket is made from the finest Italian horsehide, making it equally suitable for the cockpit, boardroom, or for a night on the town. Horsehide was the spec leather for the original A-2 back in 1931, and it's still one of the toughest & most durable leathers available.
This is no flimsy lightweight "fashion" jacket...its rugged durability will become immediately apparent as soon as you slip it on, but it's refined enough to wear to all but the most formal occasions. Features include two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, one piece back and sleeves, snap down collar, epaulets, two leather-trimmed interior pockets, nylon lining, heavy-duty brass zipper, and knit cuffs & waistband.

This is the classic A-2 jacket, recreated in beautiful hand-aged antique cowhide! The leather's subtle color variations, variety of graining and naturally occurring attributes add character to this jacket, giving it the look of an authentic vintage garment. The hides are hand-picked, hand-assembled & hand-aged, so no two jackets will look exactly alike. Features include two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, snap-down collar, knit cuffs & waistband, one-piece back, an interior pocket, and an antiqued brass zipper. Quality + Value: Our US Wings Current Issue A-2 is based on the latest USAF A-2 pattern (which is an update of the "second generation" A-2s issued in 1987). Although it features a number of functional & comfort upgrades, this jacket is still unmistakably an A-2, a classic jacket originally adopted by the USAAF back in 1931.
The current issue pattern includes side-entry handwarmer pockets (the first military-issue A-2 to include this as a standard feature), two inside wallet pockets, an interior double slotted pen/pencil pocket, and side panels for a more comfortable fit. Other features include a premium dark brown goatskin shell, two front snap-flapped cargo pockets, a snap-down collar (which secures the collar against prop or jet wash — or just a strong wind), an exterior windflap that conceals the solid antiqued brass zipper beneath it, a one piece back, knit cuffs & waistband, shoulder epaulets, and a poly-twill lining.

If you want an authentic WWII A-2 jacket, horsehide is it! The original USAAF Specs (DWC 30-1415 of Sept. 1930) called for Seal Brown horsehide to be the required material for this jacket. A-2s became standard issue in 1931 and continued through 1942, when production ceased in favor of cloth flight jackets. The A-2 made a triumphant return to active duty in 1987, but in goatskin, not horsehide. US Wings is proud to once again offer a horsehide A-2.
Here is your chance to own an authentic piece of American aviation history. This jacket is genuine in every detail, and we feel it is the finest horsehide A-2 you can buy! Our Signature Series™ Horsehide A-2 is constructed from supple, but tough, 3 oz. horsehide. You'll notice the natural creases, graining, scratches, range marks, and other blemishes that enhance the character of the jacket. These are not imperfections, but are naturally-occurring characteristics of horsehide leather. The specially-treated horsehide leather will begin to antique rapidly as you wear it... giving this jacket that authentic "battle-worn" look. This kid's A-2 might be small in size, but it's an accurate reproduction of the USAF-issue A-2 and has everything the adult A-2 has, including a genuine goatskin leather shell, two front cargo pockets with side entry handwarmers, two inside pockets, snap-down collar, stitched-down epaulets, poly-cotton lining, antiqued brass zipper under windflap, and knit cuffs & waistband.
